Experienced drivers can choose the driving schedule that best fits their career and home-time goals. Drivers who recently earned a Class A CDL can also enter Keller through the Finishing Program, where they gain hands-on experience with a certified trainer before transitioning to solo driving.
Keller's Finishing Program - For Drivers With Less Than a Year Behind the Wheel
You do not need experience to start over-the-road with Keller. If you hold a valid Class A CDL — including straight out of trucking school — you can come in through our paid finishing program. It is also built for drivers who have experience but have been out of a truck for a few years and want to knock the rust off.
Here is how it works:
- 8,500 miles with a certified trainer.
- At least one trip to eastern Pennsylvania, one trip through the mountains, and one through a major metropolitan area.
- This is not team driving. You and your trainer run the same clock, and you do all of the driving. Your trainer is there to support you and get you confident in the truck.
- Every Keller trainer is certified and trained through us before they take on a trainee.
- Typically five to six weeks, depending on trainer and trainee schedules and freight availability.
- Paid from day one.
